Saanen were brought to the USA from Switerland in 1904  .  They are one of the most popular breeds in America  .    Saanens are pure white but ocassionaly have colored offpring named Sables . 

 Saanens are a large breed Dairy goat with and eager to please personality . The are the highest producers of all the goat breeds . 2 Saanens can keep a family of four or more in milk year round . Milk girls range from 1 -2 gallons of fresh sweet milk a day .
